About me

I was born and bred in Ireland but spent my teens in New Jersey, USA. I studied English and History at University College, Cork, Ireland, and following my BA, obtained a Diploma in print and radio journalism.

My career debut in books was at the age of sixteen (as a shelver at the local library). I eventually became a fulltime bookseller, managing a bookshop in Ireland for many, many years while writing in my spare time. Now based in rural France, I continue to write when I can.
